South Petherton infants school

The old school had one classroom in a temporary timber cabin, another in the hall, and staff, secretaries and headteacher were all crammed into one small office.

The extension freed up the hall so that all the ancillary accommodation could be regrouped, allowing the formation of a new entrance, foyer, library, offices and classrooms.

The development received a Commendation in the 1999 RIBA Regional Countryside Design awards.
